Our Experiences in Israel

We lived in Israeli Occupied East Jerusalem from August 2001 to August 2004, in a Palestinian neighbourhood called Beit Hanina. Wayne worked in Ramallah, and I worked with Sunbula, an NGO based at St Andrew's Church of Scotland in West Jerusalem.

We were fortunate to be able to participate in a series of educational walks each winter, lead by Fr. Jerome Murphy-O'Connor, author of the Oxford Archeological Guide to the Holy Land. Fr. Jerry has lived in Jerusalem since the 1960s, and is an expert on the history of much of the region.
